Panacur Powerpac 4.8 5 61 76
Good stuff I just got a new Thoroughbred and had to give him the Panacur series for his new home. My trainer always recommends this wormer program for a new horse coming in. He took it just fine. I've never had a problem with administering it so it must be pretty good if he's eating it! May 2, 2013
spring worming My vet recommended I use this on my yearling colts, and I'm waiting to see if they bloom a bit more in this slow spring. April 30, 2013
Wormer works great Wormer was very easy to administer. My horse didn't seem to mind the taste, especially since he had to take it for 5 days straight! April 29, 2013
Definitely worth trying My ottb just wasn't putting on weight and last spring when all of the other horses were shedding out and nice and slick, he was still holding on to patches of his winter fur. He did not look good at all! I had tried different supplements(I won't list them all!), increasing his feed, beet pulp, more hay, rice bran supplement,...you name it and I probably tried it. I could not get weight on him. Someone suggested the panacur powerpac just in case maybe there were some worms that his regular worming wasn't getting rid of. She had said that she saw a horse just totally change after doing this powerpak. I thought hey, worth a try. Shortly after I did the powerpak I also consulted with a biochemist who specializes in feed for the top racehorses. I put him on her feed and supplements, and I believe a combination of the powerpak plus getting him on a more specialized feed, the weight finally went on and he hasn't lost any since. I actually have had to cut his feed back a bit because he was almost looking a little chubby over the winter! Anyway, highly recommend. March 28, 2013
just completed the treatment since i just completed this, can't say if my horse will improve or not, though he was good to begin with, and i would expect could only get better with a good worming. this was easy to administer, and even mr. picky accepted it! i was expecting the opposite, so am really happy it went so well. didn't make him feel bad during the treatment, so i was glad of that as well, though i still gave him the week off. would use it again as needed. Could be a great product but ... I didn't get the results I'd hoped for. My horses are on a daily dewormer, but are still thinner than I'd like. They've seen the dentist (uber expensive - not just a float), been treated for ulcers (uber expensive), get great hay (uber expensive), get 9 pounds of Ultium a day (uber expensive), and get 8 ounces of Ultimate Finish 100 a day. I was really hoping the relatively inexpensive Powerpac was going to do the trick. But, sadly, it didn't. So, as I said, it could be a great product, but it's obviously not what's keeping my horses from reaching their ultimate weight. March 5, 2013

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
