Pretty Darn Good
I used these today to body clip my mare. Although I stopped to cool them every 10 minutes, my hyper sensitive horse never complained about the heat. My only "cons" are that they are difficult to maneuver around legs and the blade replacement instructions are TERRIBLE. We had to find a you tube video to figure it out... But, for light/medium weight coats, this clipper is great.

Disappointed in Performance
I have a Cushing's pony that needs a full body clip 3-4 times during the summer. I did like how these are so light weight, and I don't mind the cord, but the clipper body heats up after about 20 minutes and the blades heat up in about 45 minutes. They do great around the face/head and legs but it takes me 4-5 hours to do her whole body so I'm back looking for a heavier duty clipper. If her coat wasn't so dense they might perform better. I don't feel these do a good job on the body but are good for the legs.

sorely disappointed
I bought this based on the reviews and because it was on sale. My plan was to use it for some light body clipping and trim ups. 20 minutes into my first clip the clippers were overheated, making weird noises like they werent functioning properly and not cutting evenly. The horse I used them on had been blanketed all winter and had a light coat. Needless to say, my poor horse ended up with a really bad haircut that took 4 hours to do. I will be sending these back. Dont bother trying these clippers. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

Very Disappointed
I have had other A5 clippers for years, and was really excited about these clippers when I purchased them two years ago. They have been nothing but trouble. Heat up quickly, needed $100 of work after a year, blade doesn't stay tight against the clipper.
I have been clipping for years and finally decided to replace a very old pair of A5's and I must say that I was extremely disappointed.

Good Clippers
I've body clipped horses and dogs with a pair of these clippers and my only complaint is that they get hot too quickly. Their size and weight is perfect, but the body gets really hot, making the blades heat up quickly as well. If they didn't overheat so fast, I would have given them a 5* rating. If you body clip a lot of horses, the Lister Star clippers might be more worth while.

Great piece of equipment
I have only had my set for about a month but so far they have been a great purchase! between keeping 4 horses and a dog trimmed...they are keeping up with all my work!
