Favorite show breeches These have been my favorite show breeches for several years now. They are fairly thick, which I haven't had a problem with (and helps if you forget your non-patterned show undies!) - and I'm usually pretty sensitive to overheating. Easy to move around in, if a tad loose over the hips. Sturdy and wash well. May 13, 2013
Good, but not for summer! I bought these in store - I wish I had seen the reviews saying how hot they are! Overall, I like these - they're very comfy, and should hold up well. However, I don't recommend riding in them in weather above 80 degrees - they don't feel heavy, but they are insanely hot. I was sopping within about 15 mins! I look forward to wearing these again when the weather gets cooler! August 8, 2012
Quality Purchase Very comfortable for sale price Heavy material for cold weather Size runs big, could have gone a size smaller April 7, 2011
Love my On Courses! I love these breeches in spite of all of their flaws. I have had mine for years, and yes, the stiching in the waisband is completely gone and they're thick and 100% unflattering. I dont know why I like them; maybe it's because they're indestructable and cheap and Im not afraid to get quic silver etc on them. I like the thickness cause you can't see butt jiggle or panty lines which is nice when you're riding all day. I also like the thickness because they don't tear on nail holes or splintered wood like other breeches I've owned. I suppose they are a little warmer than Ariat Microfibers, but it's never bothered me. They have a very long crotch which looks funny when you ride, so I don't show in these breeches. They are also very strecthy and snugger fitting then the Tailored Sportsmans so I don't think they look as good in the show ring. But for being at home, these are my go to. February 18, 2011
Not For Summer These are very thick breeches; they'll be fine for fall & winter, but NOT summer! I thought that cotton breeches would be cooler. Boy, was I wrong. Plus, if you sweat or get rained on or sprayed with the hose, these breeches will hold the moisture forever. Doing barn chores in wet, soggy breeches is no fun! August 25, 2010
Disapointed I normally have excellent luck with anything from oncourse, so I was shocked when I put these breeches on and immediately as I pulled them up the seem next to the knee patch split a little bit. I thought, maybe a fluke. I got on and rode and had to quit in the middle because the seem running up the inside of the breeches split and was held together in just a few places. They looked great on me and felt good, but the quality was horrible. They definately are not for warm weather either, because the cloth was heavy. August 2, 2010

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
