Collegiate Riding Programs benefit from SmartPak Equine University
Now Enrolling for the 2005-2006 Academic Year
PLYMOUTH, MA – (June 28, 2005) SmartPak Equine announced today that it is accepting applications from collegiate
riding programs for the 2005-2006 academic year for its SmartPak University Program. Going on its second year, this program
offers collegiate riding programs the chance to raise money, get exclusive discounts on products and gain access to industry
experts.
"Many of us at SmartPak came from the ranks of the college riding community," said Becky Minard, vice president of marketing
for SmartPak. "We designed SmartPak University to specifically benefit college and university riding programs where anyone
affiliated with the team, such as instructors, boarders, parents, students and barn workers, are eligible."
Registering as a SmartPak University provides collegiate programs with:
- Money – An annual cash rebate of five percent on any new SmartPak order for any horse in the barn, be it a
boarder or a school horse.
- Discounts – 10 percent discount on a variety of products, including apparel, first aid products, leather care,
supplements, and more!
- Access to Industry Experts – Members of the Equine Quality Alliance can answer faculty and student questions
regarding their respective segments of the equine industry, and may offer educational seminars for students. This is a unique
chance for students to learn about horse products and career opportunities in the equine industry. University teams also
will be able to contact any of SmartPak's experienced product specialists to help you determine their barn's supplement
needs.
Schools currently enrolled include: Mount Holyoke College, Miami University of Ohio, Sweet Briar College and Lake Erie College.
Amy Chenault, the barn manager at Sweet Briar College, commented that as part of the SmartPak University program "we have
been able to fund equestrian events and other resources that wouldn't normally be available." In addition to the benefits
of the SmartPak University program, Chenault went on to say, "I trust the SmartPak system. You know that all the horses
are getting what they need and in the correct dosages."
