Company Donates $5,000 to USEF Disaster Fund as part of SmartBlue Program
PLYMOUTH, MA (October 30, 2007) -
SmartPak is coming to the aid of horses affected by the Southern California wildfires, with a $5,000 donation to the
USEF disaster fund, which assists equines of any breed that find themselves victims of disasters. "Our customers and
their horses have been affected by the wildfires," said Becky Minard, founder of SmartPak. "SmartPak is committed
to supporting the equine communities we serve and we are proud to be able to assist in the wildfire relief efforts."

The company has now donated over $20,000 for breast cancer research.

Employees from SmartPak, a Plymouth, MA based company serving horse and dog owners, have teamed up to participate in the
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on May 19th and 20th. The 39-mile Avon Walk is held each year in Boston, starting at UMASS Boston
with an overnight stop at Prowse Farm in Canton. The Team SmartPak entry includes eight SmartPak employees who have been
training and fundraising since January.

No Ill Effects Reported. Recall Limited to 45 Pet Owners Who Received Product.

Wilbur-Ellis, a San Francisco-based supplier of pet food ingredients, has asked all pet food producers that used their rice
protein concentrate to recall dog food produced using that ingredient due to a risk that it may have been contaminated with
melamine. Melamine is an industrial chemical used to make plastics and fertilizers that can lead to illness or fatalities
in animals if consumed.
