Mattes Half Pad- Dressage 4.3 5 5 9
Okay but dont like the "wool" Feels fake and wonder if it will hold up. Thinking I paid for a name not for qaulity with this one November 2, 2011
does the job recommended by my trainer as the saddle kept slipping forward. this cures the problem. also many girths irritated the horse's sensitive skin and this does not July 21, 2011
Glad I didn't pay Retail!! When you buy a Mattes pad, you are PAYING FOR THE NAME! Yes, the sheepskin is thick and dense. BUT -- it feels more like synthetic, or like wool, as it isn't very soft. And the fit is really weird -- I got the medium size Dressage to go under my Niedersuss, and it either bunches up or leaves a huge gap under it around the withers. I wish I had gotten an Equine Comfort, Fleeceworks, or even Centaur or Eous pad instead-- I think my money would have been better spent on of those brands. I could have even gotten a correction-shim pad from those for the price of this! :( November 9, 2009
Excellent pad I was very pleased with the quality of this pad. It was just what my horse needed to make the saddle fit. October 30, 2009
Mattes Pad There are many fleece pads on the market today. Mattes continues to be the only one that offers the fit, comfort and durability that every day use requires. July 16, 2009

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
