Nothing compares
Just finished the Adequan IM 7 shot series. I have used both Adequan and Legend for both of my TWH geldings (ages 22 and 9). I am sure the Adequan is helpful as a preventative and does its job, however, the Legend provides a noticeable difference and more forward, smooth gait. I prefer Legend over Adequan, however, the downside is the vet must inject it, at least for me. I will be doing Legend boosters throughout show season for my younger horse. Next year, I will stick with the Legend and his daily Cosequin.

Not as dramatic as expected
First off, don't go into joint maintenance expecting anything to solve all your problems and you won't be disappointed! I put Major on the loading dose and now he's on it once a month. I didn't experience any immediate results as expected but he does seem more forward and willing to bend and come over his back, but I changed LOTS of stuff around trying to find something that worked so I don't know whether this is what finally did the trick or some of the supplements I've been playing with.
Plus Hytryl is less expensive and has more HA than Legend and did I mention less expensive ;)
Overall I'd suggest trying Adequan before jumping into Legend just to see if you can get away with the least expensive of the three. Then if there's no stellar results try the Hytryl. Legend is just a name brand, no need to pay this much!

Perfect for Anyone!
I would recommend Legends for show horses or old horses who need some management. Keeps the horses going and is great for them. It might be expensive but it can truly help and is worth the price.

Expensive, but well worth it!
Legend is a little bottle of gold! Not only because of the price (its pricey no doubt), but for what it does for my 15 year old eventer. I have had him since the day he was born and have competed up to Prelim on him. This helps him feel as great as he did when he was 6 years old and doing Novice!

Fabulous!
My vet suggested Legend IV for my 8 yr old Walker. He was not lame but felt a little stiff on one side. He is incredibly smooth and silky to ride after his Legend IV injections. It feels like a whole new horse. Pretty amazing really. Wish I had the money to do this all the time. Will stick with the series of 3 and maybe one additional prior to training/show season for the summer. Have him on Smart Combo pellets too as a daily support. I highly recommend trying Legend, it's an incredible product.

A must for many older horses
Our quarter horse, now 22, started to get very stiff a few years ago. The vet suggested we try Legend. The difference is amazing. I wish it was sub-Q and didn't require a vet visit, and it is pricey, but worth it not to have him in pain and cranky. We started learning dressage when he turned 22 and I doubt he could do it without the Legend. We have the vet give it once a month. It can take a couple of months to "kick in." He also gets daily exercise, another must for all horses.
