way too thick
these were way too thick to fit through the gag bit that I had ordered from Smartpak, I was extremely disappointed that they would recommend a product with the bit that was not compatible.

Does the job.
Worked fine. Only quibble was unscrewing the piece that holds the buckle on was a little tricky since the backing kept turning too. Have some pliers handy (and maybe a 3rd hand).

good value
these were a bit stiff initially but once they were lightly oiled and softened up they ended up perfect. Looks nice enough to pair with my show bridle for my jumper. Great value. I have only been using them for a few weeks so we'll see how they hold up but quality seems good so far.

poor quality
These are way too big for my gag bit, and the leather is very poor quality. The leather tore and got scraped up when I tried to fit it through the gag bit holes. They are also two different lengths. Would not recommend!

would not buy again
Use this for field hunter bridle. Leather too thick to fit through bit easily.

These over rope any day!
I'd take these over rope any day, they hold up, look better & match any bridle with some oiling! Of course they're a little stiff, but they hold up and haven't failed me yet.
