Kensington Pony Protective Sheet 4.9 5 11 13
Great durable sheet My pony wears this sheet like 24/7 and it's been holding up well. It also is very breathable. She is not sweating under it in hot weather. September 14, 2012
Love this sheet, just wish it was a Euroopean cut so it didn't rest on the withers. I love the durability though and ease of care! August 20, 2012
Kensington fly sheet I purchased the Kensington Pony Protective Sheet for my Pony and one for my horse. I love them. I have been through many fly sheets and I will never buy anything but a Kensington. At first it's a little stiff, but that doesn't seem to be a problem at all. Seems to be some sort of plastic-y material... I bought a size larger than normal and that seems to be the way to go. (Instead of 80 I bought an 82) They can roll, get up and the sheet is right back in place. My horse is a 1/2 Percheron and usually sheets/blankets pull from the withers to the front of his chest when he is in the field grazing. This one does not. My pony has a great fit, too. July 29, 2012
so glad i found this I wanted to body shave my shetland and needed a fly sheet for him,I couldnt find one anywere,I thought I would have to get him a weanling size, knowing it wouldnt fit him right,I was so happy to see this websight,it fits great and the blue looks so cute with his gray and white color,I have had many kensington blankets and they hold up the best, they protect my horses from flys, sun bleaching and dirt !! Kensington Pony Protective Sheet I was excited to get my pony fly sheet, as they are hard to find. It was "stiffer" than I thought it would be. Almost as if it was a plastic type weave. After I put it on him I thought it would actually keep him cooler than the other sheets my big horses have, as it doesn't drape/cling on his body. The length was good and true to size BUT from the withers to the front it was way too tight. What a disappointment. Same problem as so many sheets or blankets I've purchased over the years. If they bend their head down to graze or eat it is way too tight. I don't have a solution to this problem and would love to hear from others if they do. I then purchased the Centaur Wicked fly sheet ( works well on one of my horses) but the sides were very long.... down to his knees. He usually wears 57"-59" and the Centaur runs small for their size. Didn't work, either. July 28, 2011
Worth the $$ I was happy to be able to get one of these textilene sheets for our large mini. Two of our "regular" horses have had these Smartblue fly sheets for a few years now, and they have held up beautifully. This is in spite of rough horseplay, and my guys basically live out 24/7. You can buy cheaper fly sheets-even competitor's textilene (tho I have tried 2 such sheets and they ripped where there were gussets and/or a back seam-which are not on Smartpak's version) but these have lasted much longer....thus they are cheaper in the long run. They also look good and clean easily. April 7, 2011

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
