Offers a little extra protection on the nose!
I purchased this fly mask last summer and used it for a good part of our "buggy" season for one of our horses--he is a larger Quarter horse. The mask worked very well! It stayed on very well, and there were only a handful of times that I had to go pick it up out of the field when I got home #this always seems to happen with every fly mask at some point though!#. I've used the Supermask fly masks for years, and they always seemed to work well for me--I like the Kensington masks though because they seem to be a nice, heavy material. I actually bought this mask with the long nose because our QH who it was purchased for seemed to always have a large cluster of flies that gathered on the end of his nose #we used fly predators & he was on Smart Bug-Off...one of the only places flies seemed to gather was on his nose though!#. This mask came down to the tip of his nose, so it was just the perfect length to keep the bugs off.

Costs more than it's worth
I was excited to get this mask especially since I got in on the free embroidery deal. So for the good news, I do like how tough the material is and the blue plaid looks cute on my white mare. However, there are some significant points that make this mask sub-par.
1. The long nose doesn't come down far enough so my horse still got a crispy muzzle where her pink skin was exposed (my horse does not have an overly large/long face)
2. The lack of fleece along the inner seems made this mask rub her face and cheeks
3. The embroidery was much smaller than I expected so it is hard to read
Overall, it's not a mask I would buy again unless they significantly lower the price or make changes to it.

face mask is nice but the nose piece too long
the nose piece is too long, need to shorten about an 1'-2". Bought the next size up thinking this reslove the problem of too long of nose piece but the rest did not fit. Stay with large for QH and have to live with the long nose that tears up quickly

Does the job
I wanted a mask that could stand up to intense rubbing, block my gelding's pink nose from the sun, and that looked cool. This has it all. However I did have to send it back once because it ran a bit small (my arabian never wears large in anything, but needed the large fly mask). It still rubs his sharp cheek bones, so if your horse has pronounced face bones like mine, this could be a problem. I glued some felt on the inside though and no more problems.

Sunburns
I bought this flymasks for fly's, but mostly to help my horse with sunburns on her nose. It does the job! There is no flaking around her nose and no redness. As far as being durable it has stoud the test so far. Overall a great product.

Great but runs big
These stand up to lots of wear and don't rub or come off. I love them! My warmblood mare wears the cob size, but otherwise a great product!
