IRH Helmet Striping Kit 3 5 2 2
Not enough material On the package of this striping kit it says that the kit will stripe 3-4 helmets. That is not true, it won't even stripe one helmet. There are a number of different colors in the kit, but not enough of one color to put more than one stripe in place. That means, if your stripe design has more than one stripe per color, as virtually any design would have, you don have enough striping material. I wanted a wide stripe in white with thin stripes in black bordering the white, on a gray helmet. Not too difficult or different, but I did not have two of the thin stripes in black. If I had cut the single thin black stripe in half to make two thin stripes, it would not have been long enough. The only other option would have been to cut a half inch stripe into two quarter inch stripes, but that would have been quite difficult to get the lines straight. All in all, the kit was much too problematic for me to be happy with the outcome. Finally, I used a black thin stripe and a dark brown thin stripe, and used a Magic Marker to color the brown black. Hopefully, nobody will notice the slightly different black on one of the border stripes. VERY annoying. September 13, 2012
Colorful & stylish! It's a fabulous idea; especially if you have IRH's line of helmets with the vent strip down the middle. Only complaint is they needed some drastic trimming to fit my helmet. December 3, 2010
