Horse Multi-Vitamin Supplements
Inadequate levels of vitamins and minerals may mean that your horse doesn't have the nutritional support he needs to truly thrive and perform his best. Your horse needs a multi-vitamin if he is fed:
- Hay alone
- Hay and a whole grain such as oats
- Hay and less fortified grain or complete feed than the amount recommended on the feed bag for his weight and workload
When possible, choose an equine multi-vitamin that balances the type of hay you feed, whether it's mostly grass or mostly alfalfa.
