A 550 million year old source of minerals and trace elements for your horse or pony. Mined from the vast and ancient Himalayan mountains, transported down steep passes on the backs of Yaks, and providing the mountain people with one of their main sources of income, these salt licks must be the purest form of salt available.

The distinctive rose pink color comes from the salts’ high mineral content, such as iron, potassium and magnesium, which are all vital for maintaining health. Mass produced salt licks are produced using salt with minerals added in the manufacturing process. That is not the case with Himalayan Salt where the minerals are naturally found within the salt.

Himalayan rock salt licks are literally 'rock hard’, this means that horses and ponies are unable to bite chunks off the block, a problem that can occur with the softer ’pressed’ salt licks. These licks are also much more weather resistant, which means they can be safely left outside in the field for horse to 'self dose’. Our experience has shown that horses do prefer these to other salt licks.

Himalayan Salt Licks 4.8 5 385 434
My horse loves it! I had to sample the salt lick myself, and it is really good. My horse has been hitting the salt lick pretty regular since I put it out for him. I would purchase again. May 16, 2013
Best! Best salt lick out there! My daughters horse loves them! May 14, 2013
Fantastic! My horses love this salt. My one gleding especially goes crazy over it. Licks it for about ten minutes after every meal and has opted to lick it instead of playing with his Uncle Jimmy's Hanging Ball on multiple occasions. If he manages to run out before I get him a new one he stands at his stall door looking mournful after every meal and the amount of water that he drinks while he is up decreases by over half. Even with all of his licking the small block lasts a month easy and the medium lasts over two. They are well worth the money and the only salt lick that I will buy for my horses. May 13, 2013
Great Purchase My mare really seems to like the salt lick rolls!! Will be buying them again for sure!! May 7, 2013
Great Salt Licks I purchase the medium salt licks for the stalls and the horses love them. They last a long time and are a high quality product. Can't say enough good things about them. April 30, 2013
My horse loves this salt lick! My horse isn't a huge fan of the traditional salt licks but he loves the Himalayan salt lick. I would highly recommend this product! April 28, 2013
