Herm Sprenger System 4 Stirrups 4.5 5 18 22
disappointed Quality stirrup. Didn't do my ankle any favors. Doesn't mean it won't work for you. Worth trying. Sadly returned. April 5, 2013
Undecided Had to send first pair back, too small even though I had customer service assistance in sizing. Three days ago received correct size. Quality stirrup. Have ridden all three days, there does not appear to be an advantageous relationship between my rolling ankle and this stirrup. Too much "play" in the stirrup so far. Yet, I will try a few more rides because I love the happiness guarantee at Smartpak. Also ordered the Bow Balance and am trying those at the same time. Same opinion. One warning, if the stirrup is a close fit size wise, it is VERY difficult to intentionally drop a stirrup if needed because the rubber on the sides has sticking power to your leather boot if it makes contact. So, go a size up. Not that I was riding an exciteable horse or anything like that. LOL. The stirrups are worth a try, I can see where they would be beneficial to some riders. March 25, 2013
Achy Knees No More! I grew up with the solid metal stirrups, but after I tore my meniscus 9 years ago, I started looking into jointed stirrups. For years I tried the cheap versions; they were definitely better on my knee than the full metal ones, but I would still hurt after riding, especially at shows. A few Christmases ago I got these as a gift and they are AMAZING! I have so much more range of motion in my ankles and my knees have never felt better. I know George Morris isn't a fan (and I'm normally in agreement with him on everything), but these are very good stirrups and haven't messed up my equitation in the least. There will always be people who want to stick with the traditional equipment, but this is a great advancement in stirrups! March 6, 2013
Works Very Well I'm a fan of flexible stirrups and have used less expensive models. Then I injured the ball of my foot and the pressure from any stirrup pad was excruciating. This stirrup was the only one to cushion my foot. The wide stirrup pads grip boot soles whether dry, dripping with mud, or wet sand. The flex and offset angle are not even noticeable, yet they're definitely working! January 31, 2013
Very Expensive Only ridden in them a short time and haven't notice a major difference according to what this product claims to do but the quality is good, they look good and maybe with a year in them I will notice the difference that made them worth the outlandish price. March 5, 2012
Great Buy Well worth the money! They help eliminate joint pain and help smooth out the ride. February 4, 2012

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
