Herm Sprenger Short Shank Hackamore 4.3 5 17 18
Love it! I've had one before that I loved dearly. It grew legs so I had to order another... If you need a hackmore this is the one you want! April 22, 2013
poor fit I was very disappointed when I bought this hackamore- my Thoroughbred has an average-size head and it didn't fit him at all. The piece that goes over the nose was too small, so that the bridle cheek pieces were uncomfortably close to his eyes. There wasn't enough room in the straps to punch new holes to make it fit him better, either. The chin strap was too long as well- if it had fit otherwise, I would have had to cut a piece off. The quality seemed fine but the leather was definitely in need of a good oiling. April 16, 2013
SO UGLY I was very disappointed when I got this hackamore! Everyone gushed about the quality of it, so I ordered it, when it arrived, it was RED. Don't even know what the quality of the leather was, as I didn't even open it. Definitely going back. March 26, 2013
great I love this hackamore, I bought it after my cheap hack broke. this one is much sturdier and the metal feels much more substantial, plus, the leather oils up well. I have a sheepskin nose cover for it. I also bought a different curb chain as I didnt like the leather one it came with. February 22, 2013
Very good quality, looks nice Didn't irritate horses skin, fit just fine, looks classy not cheap. The price could be a bit less but it is a nice quality item. Shipped fast also. Pleased customer. February 21, 2013
Worth the money My horse seems to really like it. He is an Arabian and I had to make the chin strap smaller by adding holes and cutting off the end of the strap. The nose strap fits him fine. I put a sheepskin cover under the chin strap and he seems to like that a lot better. It was difficult to put the chin strap together without instruction - they might want to consider doing that in the future. Overall it fits my horse, with modification, and he moves nicely in it. To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
