Happy Mouth Plain Mullen Loose Ring 4.2 5 5 5
Looks like a nice bit. I found it to be alot fatter than I expected. I have not tried it yet. July 9, 2012
Great Bit My dressage trainer suggested I try this bit for my OTTB who liked to pull/yank on me. I noticed a big difference the first time I used it and we also have a better connection. Also, the plain mullen is legal for dressage. July 3, 2012
not for my boy I have used a french link since I bought my gelding and wanted to try something to get him to stretch down and forward more. he was trained country pleasure so we are trying to undo those effects! unfortunately he HATES this bit and throws his head and chomps constantly. maybe too much in his mouth or crowds his tongue. will try again in the arena for short periods but on the trial all he did was fight against it the whole time..... even without contact. the bit looks comfortable and well made so maybe he will grow to like it - with patience! Thought I'd never find a bit my horse likes - I bought this bit after trying out a similar Happy mouth bit belonging to my trainer. I had serious doubts whether I'd ever find a bit that would please my 14 year old horse, whom I'd ridden exclusively in a french link snaffle for years, and then a Myler comfort snaffle. She is finally willing to reach into the contact and finally has a quiet mouth. Another great thing about this bit is that it doesn't get as cold as a metal bit — a huge bonus when you live in Minnesota! February 7, 2012
Love this Bit! This bit has solved all my connection problems. I love this bit! November 14, 2011
