Fuller Fillies Dress Boot 4.2 5 65 67
Good boot for a large calf I've also struggled for years to find boots that fit a 16"+ calf and also close behind the knee. Usually wear a 9.5 shoe. Ordered a size 8 per instructions but they were way too big and the regular height was too short (no room for them to break down). Reordered 7-Tall, still riding with heel lifts 7 months later, but much better. Concerned that the zipper will not last though. May 13, 2013
They fit, but Cheap Leather I have huge calves, about a 16, but my feet are only a size 7. The plus side, these boots fit very well. They zipped up incredibly easy and are flexible so I know I can ride in them. The bad side, the leather is cheap. For over 300, I should be getting thick leather than can with stand the demands that riding gives. This leather is not thick, and I know that I need to save these boots for shows because if I ride in them a lot they will simply break. This is really sad. Also, they do not look nearly as nice as the picture above shows. They are VERY BASIC looking, and made of THIN LEATHER. If i only paid 100 for them, I would not mind. For 300+ however, I am disappointed. When these break, I doubt I will buy another pair. Custom boots may be expensive but at least I know I will be receiving quality leather. April 17, 2013
They Fit I bought these boots praying they would fit and be comfortable once they were broken in. I have large calfs and have had issues with getting boots that fit. I have had them a month and the only complaint I have is that they still are not completely broken in. I would highly recommend this product to any women having a hard time getting boots that fit. they Fit I have large calfs and in the past have had big problems with tall boots not zipping these zipped the first try over my thick winter breaches so i know they will go over my show breaches no problem.Being a larger girl I have big feet and it is sometimes hard to find shoes that are comfortable for riding but these not only fit my calf but also my foot with a bit of wiggle room so my toes don't chafe when I ride. I would definitely recommend these to any rider who has had problems finding tall boots that fit. March 18, 2013
Lasted me just about 2 years. I have to complain. I Bought these boots two years ago and I ride two to three times a week in them. (My previous pair of boots lasted 6 years- they were not this brand.) Anyway- I've babied these boots because you can tell they are fragile boots, from the small zipper to the paper thin leather. The leather has worn out on the inside of my leg, and the stitching has wore completely down, as this is where the elastic is stitched into the boot. I'm also getting cracking on the toe area within the leather, this was after a year of wear. Regardless, the boots were still in active action, until this week. The zipper on the right boot had a "blow out", and it will not zip properly. If I can get it zipped up, it will un-zip from the bottom up. I'm so bummed. I did not want to be in the market for another set of boots. For the cost of these boots, this is ridiculous. Smart pack should not offer such poor quality of product, or at least sell it for what it's worth, (about $100). The only thing I can say nice about the boots is that they were comfortable, and retained that comfort through out the short time I owned them. March 3, 2013

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
