24/7 wear time
These are my favorite choice. I work in a highrise in downtown Boston and now I look like I'm heading to the barn, but so what and dreamin of a different "office" makes me smile. These boots are great: comfortable, great arch support, keep my feet warm without extra heavy winter socks, handle wet weather, slip on and off easily. Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent Boots
I was also on the fence about these boots. I normally wear a size 9-1/2, and that size wasn't available. I couldn't decide between the 9 and 10. Finally ordered the size 9.
When they arrived I put them on and immediately thought, 'Uh-oh, this won't work'. I could feel my big toe touching the front of the boot. I wore them around the house for a while (wearing thin socks) and they were so comfortable. I desperately wanted to keep them, but I worried that the 'big toe' thing would become a real problem. I also knew that the size 10 would be way too big. After about an hour, they still felt so comfortable and my toes were not sore. So, still feeling a little uneasy about the fit, I decided to wear them to the barn the next day and hope for the best. SmartPak is so great about returns, but I wasn't sure they would take them back after I wore them to 'work'.
Bottom line is they are fabulous boots. I have to wear thin socks, but my feet stay warm and dry even on the coldest days (single digit temps). We recently had a warm spell after some very heavy snow. I was trudging through 3-4" of nasty mud that stuck like glue and dried like concrete. I scrubbed them with plain water, let them dry for a bit, and then applied a good leather ceaner & conditioner. They looked brand new again.
These are absolutely the best boots ever. They are very stylish (I've received numerous compliments), yet as rugged as you could hope for. They go on and off like a breeze, are extremely comfortable for long hours of wear, go through the harshest conditions and clean up like new, and the toes are so solid I don't think I'd notice if my horse stepped on them.
Two final things. My calves are fairly slender and the boots fit just fine with just a little bit of extra room. Also, someone mentioned having trouble keeping them tied. I first tied them in a double bow, which quickly came undone. Then I tied a single bow and pulled it tight. Haven't had to bother with them since.

Way too big. :(
Every pair of shoes in my closet is a 6. I'm a perfect 6. These boots were HUGE in the foot. I ordered the mid calf because my calves are exactly 15 inches and I could not get the tall version on my leg with pants on. I ordered a tall pair for my daughter, who wears a 7.5 shoe, in a 6.5 and those fit me better in the foot than the 6 in the mid calf version. She tried the ones I ordered on and they were big on her too.
Sadly a 6 is the smallest size they have, so it's back to the drawing board for me and my calves.

Never going back to Muck Boots
These boots fit perfect the minute I pulled them out of the shipping box! There was no need to break them in. They are the first boots I have worn that not only did my feet not freeze, but they actually kept my feet warm!! I got home from a few hours at the barn (holding for the farrier) at 30 degrees and my socks were warm when I stepped out of the boots. I'm glad I read the reviews because I never would of guessed I would need a size 6, when I'm never smaller than a 6 1/2 or 7 in boots. They are expensive but my feet aren't damp and cold like they get wearing muck boots. I even wear them to walk the dogs!

Good boots.
I like these boots but i am not so crazy about the tie and larger calf capability. It does not tie down very good, however I still love them and am glad that I got them. i work with the BCH association and love having taller boots when I ride in the brush.
