Dormosedan Gel, great product We have used this product on our horse when he gets new shoes. Calms him right down and makes for an easy day. Love the price. About $15 less than the vet. April 25, 2013
Wild Mustangs Well I knew it would probably not work as a 'in feed' dressing and I was right. I also knew it most likely wouldn't work on a Wild Mustang (untamed) and it didn't. It quieted him down but not enough to be handled so I know on a tame horse it would have rocked! The secret is you have to get it under the tongue! If I need sedation, I'd get it again....for a tame horse. November 9, 2012
great for farrier easy to administer, we use half a tube for farrier time....takes the edge off without being too heavy. so much better then ACE tabs. October 15, 2012
4th of July rescue I just found out about this product from my vet this year when I talked to him about what to do for the 4th of July fireworks that my neighbors shoot off right over my horse pasture. I have an Arabian rescue horse that panics and has a history of going through fences and getting seriously hurt. Well I used the Dermosedan gel on both the Arabian and Warmblood and it worked like a champ! They were sedated enough to not worry about the fireworks but not so sedated they were wobbly. I have never had such a worry free 4th. After the fireworks, they just took a nap and rested. Highly recommend if used for the right reasons. July 17, 2012
Def worth the price!! MUCH cheaper then a vet!! This product is definately one that is worth it's weight in gold!! I am not a believer in sedation, Am big on retraining BUT I ended up with an older gelding that will do absolutely anything to keep from getting his sheath cleaned. Of course he is also the type that is excessively dirty and needs it done every few months or he will get sores and an infection. Between the vet call, sedation, and the procedure I am paying close to $200 a pop!! I had a trainer sudgest this product and I asked my vet. We decided to give it a try and see how he does. I had a completely diffrent horse after!! Only thing is with the fglighty ones and with him having such an adversion to the procedure we have had the best luck working him good then giving the gel, put him away in a dark stall for 45or so mins then he is like puddy. While it was still effective we clipped him up and pulled his mane. Is definately worth the 5 starts for both price and effectiveness!!! May 17, 2012
SOO USEFUL! This product is well worth it!!! My mare can be a handful when it comes to mane pulling and the farrier. Gave her this, and within a half hour, she was zonked out. Waited about an hour as directed for the full effect. She was perfectly still and quite for the mane pulling. Even got to clip her ears and muzzle. It was easy to use, quick, and long lasting. Much simpler (and more affordable) than calling the vet out (especially for something silly like mane pulling)! I couldn't be more pleased. If your vet will prescribe it, I would definitely suggest it!! May 13, 2012
