Excellent quality
This is my second pair of deniro boots, i've previously purchased the jumper boots. I also own a pair of airat monaco's. The ride and fly are by the far most comfortable of the three for the price, the ankle broke in almost immediately. They have a nice soft leather in the ankle area and the grippy inner calf is similar to that of the Monaco's. They do run small...

Happy and sad all at once
Loved the design and quality of the boot to look at, however, even after trying two sizes, I was unable to find a pair that were comfortable in the ankle area. The boots ran small, I even went up an entire shoe size. So, I was disappointed to have to send them back, twice, but customer service from Smart Pak was excellent and made the return easy and refund prompt. You all get 5 stars for Customer Service!

Fit Like Customs
I hemmed and hawed over these. I thought $800.00 was spendy for field boots. Beautiful, brown field boots by DeNiro, but, I forked-out and after the first time difficulty with the zipper (my fiance had to help zip-up with PLIERS!) and he had to do it x4, as my gel heel protectors rolled and bunched, so I had to remove them and he re-pliered them up. They are GORGEOUS (I have them in brown) and so_comfortable. I was worried after reading the first review about break-in esp without my EquiFit Gel heel/ankle protectors, but they fit like customs. Better. I received them about 1 month ago and wear them every other day with the brown Harwich spur straps or the rainbow jeweled spur straps. They are fantastically comfortable, the black side panel allows for super-close contact while riding, and they have a nice, high cut topline. Fit is true to size. LOVE THESE.

I wish the zipper was on the outside or front like the Volants. I read the volants red bleeds so I didn't go that route. I ordered another pair, Italian, semi-custom, expensive (can't remember brand now). Took FOREVER. too big, exchange (also 4EVER). Got tired of waiting, so cancelled that and ordered these. They arrived quick, the break-in only took a few rides. The boot is built to keep a 'heels down' position which is great in the saddle, but on the ground...not so much. In fact, because of the stiff wrinkles during break-in, the zipper dug into my achilles so bad I still have pain months later. Outside of that, the foot bed fits great, the long upper is very snug but not tight. Fits better than custom. Easy on/ off. So I love em!
