DeNiro Jumper Boot 5 5 3 3
LOVE LOVE LOVE This is my second pair of deniros, as I also have the plain ottavianos. These are made with just as much quality, superbly soft yet durably leather, and I ALWAYS get compliments on them. From a distance, the color piping is nearly unnoticeable so i would recommend these boots for anyone, even people who wish too keep their look traditional.... The rubber sole of these and my other boots are actually what impress me most. Even after 2 years of wear, the rubber hasn't worn down AT ALL. These boots will drop alot due to the soft leather so if you are between sizes, I would order up a height (and a foot size... while i am ussually an 8/8.5 i ordered a 9) I actually looked at these on the DeNiro website as well, and SmartPak actually has them for a better price, which is really impressive. The zippers are great quality (100x better than ariats) and while the buttons on this pair can be a little tougher than on my ottavianos, they are still very much better than any other tall boot buttons that i ave tried/ used/ seen... The leather, in addition to its softness and durability, is incredibly grippy. The inside of the boot also doesnt get very smelly even if oyu sweat in it! They are also very well waterproofed, though water can get in through the lace area. They take oil well when you first get them, which helps break them in within a couple days. (The patent top doest stretch as much as the regular leather just btw) Anyway, I'm never ordering boots from anyone other than DeNiro... im thinking of the full ostrich ones for my next pair, oncee my at-home schooling pair (2.5 yr. old ottavianos that I wear everday) are completely unwearable ;) (*cough cough* smartpak, you should start carrying those) April 2, 2013
Fantastic boots! These boots are super in quality and fit. The construction seems top quality. For the price, given the customization options, these boots are a great value. I also own and ride daily in the ariat monaco's, which are also a fantastic boot, and the DeNiro's match the quality of ariat in every way at a great price. They do take a while to arrive since they are made to order, I ordered mine 9/18 and received them 11/28, so plan well in advance. December 1, 2012
WOW boots! I ordered these as soon as I saw them in the Smartpak catalogue and I am not disappointed. They came a month earlier than expected and are so beautiful they make me feel special just putting them on! I haven't ridden in them yet but I have a pair of Ariat Monacos and Sergio Grasso boots and these are every bit as nice in quality but a nicer price for semi-custom (++) boots. Makes me want to order a pair in each of their styles! November 23, 2010

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
