Not Effective for Me
This product did not work for me - I am guessing because the humidity in my area is high. The coolness on the back of my neck was soothing, but overall I found I was exchanging one kind of wetness (sweat) for another (water). The coolness did not extend beyond my neck, and I was just as hot everywhere else as I was without the scarf. Perhaps it works better in a climate where evaporation can happen faster.

best investment
I love this item... it has worked wonderfully for me in the heat wave we had here in Maryland. My mother in-law has MS and is looking into get one of their vests! Great product. Many uses.

Not good for riding
This holds moisture and cools very well, but I found it to be too bulky. Also, It wouldn't stay tied when I rode. I tried attaching it with the loop and I tried tying it in a knot. Neither worked.
The motorcycle company Aerostich's Competition Evap-O-Danna is much better

just bought this product, really like the idea. I'm still trying to decide if I like it or not. At first the heavy wet feeling is not pleasant.
97 degrees here this week so Ill give it a try while doing barn chores.

I really like this 'scarf'. It may not be the most attractive, but living in Arizona makes it very partical to buy. It helped when I was in the house, out of the house, riding, ect. I'm glad I bought it.

cool to wear, no fashionista though
it works, thats what counts. I was surprised because I know evaporative cooling only works if it can evaporate, and that is based upon how humid it is.
soaking it is another issue. you really can't tell the first few times that it even soaks up any water, kinda beaded up and fell off the first time I tried. then I got the idea to use my hands and squish it up in the bucket of water I was using.
If you want to be cool but don't care if you look cool, this is for you. I can hide it under a ratcatcher as well as long as I'm using a stocktie and still wearing my coat, I didn't get any watermarks anywhere either. so, I'm happy. if only I'd bought this early enough for the first round of haying season. ah well, live and learn, and then get cool.
