Glyco-Flex® EQ is a Perna supplement that provides the horse with a complete foundation necessary to maintain healthy connective tissue as well as support the restorative processes required for injured or aged joints. It helps restore joint function and connective tissue health by providing all classes of glycosaminoglycans (like Chondroitin Sulfates 4 & 6), biologically active protein complexes, a full spectrum of naturally chelated minerals, fatty acids (Omega 3, 6, and 9), and amino acids (essential and non-essential as well as branched chain amino acids for muscle energy).

GlycoFlex EQ Pellets 4.3 5 5 7
Horse won't touch it I purchased this supplement for my mildly arthritic older TB. She suddenly started to not eat all of her food -- she was sifting out her senior feed and leaving behind ground up hay stretcher and some grain. This started around the time I started new supplements. I first thought it was the amino supplement as she sometimes doesn't like powders. I removed that supplement and went with straight pellets, which included keeping the GlcyoFlex. She continued to leave up to half her meal, mainly sifted and pulverized hay stretcher. I thought it was the hay stretcher, but decided to double check the pellets by hand. She wouldn't touch the GlycoFlex. Even the "glutton" in the paddock next to her wouldn't eat it and he eats anything. I smelled it and thought "oh my goodness, it smells like a fish pier". Like dead clams on a beach....If my nose smelled that, I can only imagine what she smelled. Even a tiny bit must really stink to a horse's nose, so I am not surprised she is picking out the senior feed. It might be a great product, but if it won't get into the horse, it does no good. I would strongly recommend folks take advantage of the sampler program offered by Smartpak. I wish I had. March 10, 2013
An extra boost for joints Perna Mussel works really well; unfortunately, you need at least 10,000 mg. per day, and it is expensive. It is less expensive to give a little less in addition to a good standard joint supplement. March 6, 2013
The only thing that has worked and she will eat My 11yr old spotted saddle horse has had mild arthritis and a past deep digital flexor tendon injury. She can be very tender and her joints would pop and crack. i've tried multiple different supplements that either didn't work or she wouldn't eat. i've spend way too much money on things i have had to throw away but I knew that I had to get her something to help her feel better. My vet recommended glycoflex and it is in a pellet form which Dollee loves! I have been using it for about 6 months and I have noticed a huge difference. It took a few months, but she turns much better now and my farrier has noticed a huge difference too. I'm so thankful we found the right product to help her! November 29, 2011
seems to be working! I've been looking for the right joint supplement for awhile now. my mare is a picky eater and will only eat pellet supplements. my vet recommended glycoflex and smartpak had them in supplements in such a convenient way. i am on the first month loading dose right now and she seems to be moving much better. normally, she would favor her hind legs when trying to move in a circle and now she moves much smoother. and best of all--she actually eats this one! she thinks it's a treat! Always a good purchase I've been using this product for over 6 years, trying others every once in awhile, to see if they compare. The results that I get from Glygoflex are far better than what I've gotten from anything else that I've tried. My mare is 26 years old and wouldn't be rideable with her sore joints if I didn't use it. May 7, 2009
