My favourite saddle!
I bought this saddle after trying an older version my friend had on my horse to see if it would fit. The saddle fits exactly like her saddle did! The saddle is really well made. I've had it for over a year now and I absolutely love it! Other than a few marks from the stirrup leathers the saddle looks brand new!!!

Excellent Saddle
I was worried based on a previous customers comment that the saddle would look synthetic i.e. "red syrup," yet i got this saddle just a week ago and it is absolutely beautiful. It is uber comfy and fits my horse very well. I was very happy with the length of leg which i wanted to be long enough to do dressage, but not so long i couldn't shorten to do low jumps, absolutely perfect! Since ive only it a week i can't say how it stands up to the test of time, but ive ridden in it twice and it still looks brand new. Definately a keeper!

I simply love this saddle. It is very comfortable and well balanced with just the right amount of knee roll support. Best saddle purchase I have ever made in my 17 years of riding.

BEWARE, they have changed the leather!
Just fyi to anyone considering this saddle, it does not look anything like the pictures. Weatherbeeta now makes the Collegiate saddles, and this one is a cherry red color... looks and feels like a piece of cardboard dipped in cherry syrup! This used to be a beautiful saddle, if you can find a used one in the nicer leather you will be very happy with it, as it fits dang near every horse. Nice long flaps and deep seat, but the leather is no good (I sent it back). Do yourself a favor and spend a few hundred more for the Bates.

Love this saddle!!
As a hunter/jumper rider, I wasn't thrilled when my horse couldn't fit into one jumper saddle at my barn. After trying everyones saddles, none fit right!
I have an off the track thoroughbred, who I had to beef up (both fat and muscle wise). He has high withers but broad shoulders (making it EXTREMELY hard to saddle fit.) My tainer suggested trying an all purpose saddle. After looking at the nearest tack store, I found this one and brought it home. Fit like a glove. What's also nice about it is that it's SUPER comfy.
Love love love this saddle! If you have a hard to fit horse, the exchangable gullet system is so nice with this. Especially if you have a horse who you know their back is going to change due to muscle and weight gain!

SO COMFY
When I first saw this saddle I thought of the original one, and said OH NO I will not try that out at all. I hated the original. I sat and rode in this one after giving it some thought and LOVE IT. I do everything - hunter/jumper, dressage, and trail riding. The Collegiate Senior Event is so comfortable and fits my horse wonderfully, and hes not an easy one to fit (high withers and a barrel). Bates, Wintec, Pessoa, Courbette, didn't fit at ALL. The gullet set is a must. I've had several people ride in my saddle and they all end up loving it, and most end up buying one too. The leather holds up great, and I never clean it (I'm sure regular cleanings would make it even better). Great saddle for the price rates right up there with the most $$$ ones.
