Vita-E & Selenium Crumbles 4.8 5 41 54
Fills the nutritional need, but hard to measure I needed a vitamin E supplement to add to my mare's ration balancer that didn't have too much selenium in it. She was already getting enough selenium but this supplement is cheaper than a strictly vitamin E supplement and fortunately doesn't have too much selenium to put her in danger of toxicity. She eats the alfalfa-based crumbles just fine without any grain. The only thing I don't like is the scoop - the dose is 1/2oz which is half the provided scoop. I wish there was a 1/2 mark or the scoop was small enough to make it 1/2oz. I worry that I could mis-measure and give her too much, getting too close to her selenium limit. I will try SmartProtect next time because it's a good-priced source of E (and other goodies) without the additional selenium that she doesn't need. January 7, 2013
Peace of mind...at a GREAT price! My clyde/tb cross needed his diet changed. I went onto FeedXL and entered all of his intake (forage, grain, supplements, turnout, etc.). The report showed that he was lacking in the Vitamin E and Selenium portion of his diet. I popped onto SmartPak and ordered the bucket (wanted to make sure he liked it). The Vita-E & Selenium Crumbles have been great! It's comforting to know that he is getting all of the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that he needs each and every day. October 8, 2012
Great Vit E Supplement Had concerns my Irish draught cross was tying up. She's super picky and ate this readily - great alfalfa flavor. July 27, 2012
Picky mare approves My mare is chronically muscle sore and generally needs E and Sel in her diet, so I put her on an E-Sel supplement. The first one I tried, she would NOT eat! She will eat this product readily, even out of my hand! It was a relief to find a product that would give her the benefits and she would actually eat it! The price is great, too, for the quality and benefits. May 5, 2012
must taste great My horse turns her nose up to just about everything I buy so I was very pleased to look into her feeder and see her supplements were all gone. I think that this is a great value for my money because I don't have to use very much. April 5, 2012
I have started my mare on this product as she has had issues of tying up a few times since I have owned her. So far after a month of using the product, we have started working her and it seems to be helping. She has not had any problems of tying up so far. Hopefully we can get to the show ring without any problems in the future! February 20, 2012
