dont hold up in the wash
When i first got these breeches i loved them! They fit great and they looked great. After i washed them a couple times though they started pilling really badly. :( now they are only good for schooling.

Disappointing
Unfortunately, these breeches are very tight in the calf. The sock-like legs were so snug they were a trial to get on. The waist fit true to size and they look like good quality, but if you have wide calves--rethink these. There's a reason why hook and loop closures have been the norm for 30+ years, they are the most adjustable and easiest to put on and pull off. Sorry, Smartpak, these just didn't work for me.

Comfortable
These pants are comfortable to wear and are not too warm. My only issue with these pants is that the fabric balls up after washing.

stylish and comfortable
I love these breeches! They are stylish and super comfy. They have slight pilling in one spot after washing which is why i didnt give them 5 stars. I wear them to school at least 4 horses a day, and for the price so far they are well worth it. After wearing them once i ordered another pair. I am 5'4" and the end of the breeches comes right to my ankle bone which is long, but not a problem. Other reviewers had mentioned a problem with the waist being big, but i think they reworked the fit because i didnt have that problem at all.

Disappointing
I love all things Smartpak and I really wanted to love these breeches. My first impression was that the material felt a little odd/slick/thin since I am used to the material for the TS Trophy Hunter. Those are slick too but the SP breeches were even SLICKer. The faux suede was very thin compared with the faux suede on the Trophy's. But I figured I would give them a try. The fit was very odd though. I am slightly tall and medium build. In the TS Trophy I wear a 28 and they fit textbook perfect and are flattering. These...were saggy in the butt. As in extra material to the point where it actually hung down like a diaper. Which I have never had happen before b/c I think I have a normal to slightly bubble butt for my size from riding daily. The calves were SKIN tight and I have only a 13.5" calf and have to by xtra narrow tall boots or custom boots. So they did fit me but were a little hard to get on. The thigh fit was ok and the waist was a bit gappy. Sadly they were a definite return. Hope the fit issues get addressed or that at least there is a body type out there that finds these the cats meow because it wasn't me. I guess I will stick with TS or Pikeur.

Nice schooling breeches
The material is just a little thicker/heavier than I generally like, so I won't be riding in these in the 100+ degree summers, but they are nicely styled, fit pretty well, and I like the material on the full seat a lot. My one concern was with the stretchy "sock bottoms" since I tried the Baker Elite Full Seats and the similar bottom on those gave me horrible horrible rubs all over my legs. However these breeches are longer than the Bakers and the calf is slim enough that the breeches don't seem to shift under my boots. Overall a nice pair of full seats!
