Big D Sterling Medium Turnout Blanket 5 5 6 6
Nice Blanket Got this for my young, leggy horse last Fall. He's already taken one of the leg straps off; we're pretty sure when he laid down he caught his leg in the strap. I'm actually glad the strap came off because that's better than the alternative of him hurting himself from being caught up in it. However, since we've had to sew the strap back on, it's not staying really well. Still good quality, but it does run large. Would recommend, but keep up with maintenance on it. March 4, 2013
Nice Medium Weight I haven't had to use this blanket too much since it has been a mild winter in Massachusetts. I wish the front had a deeper V so when my horses head is down it isn't so tight. It isn't REALLY tight, but i would prefer him to have more room, (that is why i gave it four stars for fit) but I think once the blanket is broken in more it will get softer and have more give. He is a wide 15.1 QH and this fits him well, size 78. It is very durable and cleans up nice with a hard brush. The hardware is quality as well as the leg straps! For a 240 fill, it is very light weight, but still keeps him plenty warm..love the tail flap to keep the wind from blowing up the blanket and the fleece at the withers is a nice touch for comfort. This is my first BIG D blanket and I am very happy with it! February 9, 2012
Awesome Blanket! This blanket fits my Quarter Horse perfectly! Best blanket Ive ever owned! It is very durable and it hasnt ripped at all, unlike his previous blanket that he ripped twice in less than one month. I really like the velcro in the front (it makes the blanket fit so nicely), other blankets separate and tuck in in the front. Definetly worth the extra money for a blanket that fits! My only complaint is that I wish it came in more exciting colors. February 10, 2011
Great Blanket for a Great Price I have bought 4 of these blankets for my ponies over the last two years. They are a great value and are very durable. They keep everyone warm and dry and have held up very well to pony mauling. January 26, 2011
They made it so it so buckles high up on the neck which in some ways is nice, rain doesn't run down & keeps horses drier. Only problem is with the way it buckles higher on the neck is it makes it a bit tight when horse stretches their neck down to eat. It can be avoided by making it looser around neck & is still a very well made blanket, especially for price just with one design flaw. December 29, 2010
worth the money stays in place. doesn't shift. well constructed. no rain test yet, but I'm sure it will stand the test. February 15, 2010

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
