Barnsby Schockemohle Jumping Saddle 5 5 5 5
Wonderful saddle I'm a long legged rider and have been searching for a saddle that would fit me for a long time. I bought this saddle in size 18, and it fits perfectly. It's comfortable to ride in and is very well made. Great value and quality for the price. April 13, 2013
Great Saddle I've had this saddle for over 4 months now, and it has broken in beautifully. The flocking is so soft and the saddle has really molded to my high withered TB. I noticed when riding in this saddle, I don't have to fight the correct position, and I become less fatigued as well. My horse also has seemed more comfortable, and has better form over fences. You feel secure when jumping, in control when flatting, and SO comfy on long rides/ trails. Forward flap works well for my longish legs. The craftsmanship is lovely and overall its a very beautiful saddle. (The picture is when I first got it) October 25, 2012
Love, love, love! I LOVE my Barnsby Schockemohle! It fits my horses perfectly (thank you to my wonderful saddle fitter) and is very comfortable for me, as well. It helps me stay in the proper position, without forcing my leg. I've jumped in it, done flatwork in the arena and ridden countless trail miles, including some endurance training in this saddle with no complaints. The leather is soft and supple, the seat and panels have ample padding and there is plenty of width in the gullet and channel. And, this saddle is just beautiful! Perfect stitching, well made and a lovely dark chocolate brown color. I'll be riding in this saddle for many, many years. May 1, 2012
Great Saddle! A soft ride for this Novice eventer. I love the Schockemohle. Knowing I had to give up my beloved old saddle due to changes in both me and my horse, I had a saddlefitter come out and assess us. She highly recommended the "Shock" -- and I should have listened to her and ordered it immediately. Instead, I spent 2 months searching for and trying saddle after saddle after saddle. Finally, I gave up and ordered a "test ride" from Smart Pak. First of all, let me just say that the Smart Pak customer service and the test ride program is GREAT! The leather is beautiful -- and the soft wool flocking made it easy for the saddle fitter to adjust. It is breaking in VERY quickly and my horse loves it. I only had one minor problem -- the flap hadn't been cut out enough to fully expose the stirrup bar -- but that was easily fixed by the saddlefitter. I'm happy now. Since my last saddle was extremely close-contact, I was worried that this saddle would be too "cushy". The saddle is EXTREMELY comfortable, but not so "fluffy" that it loses its close-contact. Love it. And it's pronounced "shock-uh-muhla" -- just so ya know..... April 19, 2012
Why won't you marry me, Barnsby? The Barnsby Schockemohle Jumping Saddle is hands down the most wonderful saddle I have ever jumped in. After just one test ride, I immediately listed my Albion jumping saddle for sale so I could buy this one instead. Gorgeous, soft leather and a seat cushioned like an armchair. I could sit in this saddle for hours! Love the finishing and subtle stitching detail on the flap. And, it really makes a difference in my position! Even if I get a little ahead or a little left behind at the fence, this saddle helps me stay in the best balance possible. Barnsby saddles are the only brand I have been able to feel this difference with. Worth every penny. November 13, 2011
