7 years old and still going strong!
I bought this saddle in late 2006 to use on a very high-withered TB that I leased. When I bought my own horse (also a TB) in 2007, I started using it on her and haven't found another saddle that I like as well. I'm tall (5'8") and love the forward flap with the calf block. I used it as my only saddle (in between dressage saddles) for both flat work and jumping for several months, and was able to do some decent lower level dressage work in it. A+!

Super comfortable Super Secure
Great saddle for the money. I must have tried a dozen other saddles. Between my long legs (5'11") and my high withered thoroughbreds. I couldn't find anything else that was forward enough or cleared my horses withers. I feel very secure in it over fences and my leg isn't off the front of the flaps.
SmartPak was super fast to ship out a trial saddle and even faster when I was ready to buy one. Thanks SmartPak!

Great for short people too!
I love love love this saddle! It fits both my TB Irish hunter cross, and my appendix cross. Both of them have way supper sensitive backs and are a bit hard to fit. This saddle feels amazing. It has the wider twist that I need and the knee rolls are fluffy, great for jumping! I feel very secure going over jumps with it and I had no problems with shorter stirrups for Cross-country. I dont think i will buy anything but a Barnsby now. I definatley want to buy a barnsby dressage saddle!

Great for tall people
I purchased this saddle about four years ago. I like it because it accommodates my long leg (I am 5'11") and is quite comfortable. However, I do wish I had purchased a saddle with a bit less deep of a seat, but that is my own fault. My only complaint is that the leather on the billets have never really "broken" in and still have that nasty plastic-y look. Nonetheless, very comfortable saddle, and great for tall people.

Secure, comfy saddle!
I own a Diablo, and love how it keeps me balanced before and over jumps and keeps my lower leg in a good, solid position. I have a long leg from hip to knee, which made it hard to find a saddle with a forward enough flap. It fits perfectly. The Barnsby Diablo was also a great fit for my hard-to-please TB. Can't recommend it enough!
