Good boots A horse I've been riding for a while now uses these boots on front and back. They fit very well and once they've formed to the horse's leg they are really easy to put on, but only if you know how to put sports boots on. I've seen some very interesting applications of these boots by younger people at my barn! The horse is an average sized warmblood and wears the large in both front and back boots. The boots fit great and I love how tight his legs are after our rides. The back boots do slip down a bit if you don't get them on right in the "sweet spot," but this is true for all sports boots of this design, so it just takes practice. Overall a great product, though very pricy. November 9, 2012
Wonderful boots I purchased these for my 16.1 Lipizzan gelding for turnout following an injury to the left fore. Even though he is fairly tall, the medium fit perfectly. I have used them for a week now & they have held up great. However, here in Alabama, they can be hot & his legs sweat under them. But after taking off for 1 hour, both the boots & legs dry quickly & can be put back on. They are much safer then polo wraps for turnout & quicker to put on the leg!!! Thanks Smartpak for having these great boots & having wonderful customer service who are always willing to help & get the right product in the right size for your horse!!! As always, Smartpak is awesome!!!!! October 7, 2012
Love!!! I bought these at the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and have used them for every ride since. My horse had a bowed tendon previously and with the use of these he has had no heat or filling in the leg with using these. My gelding is 15.3 but has very short cannon bones and I had to get the small and they fit perfectly. August 16, 2012
Great Support Boot These are great! I had never used a BOT product before and so far they work great. With my horse suffering a suspensory injury, I wanted a boot with both suspensory and sesmoid support. I got it and I couldn't ask for anything better. My only complaint is that they hold water. I used the boots as a turnout boot because he needed the support. But otherwise, great boot. July 25, 2012
not a good fit I LOVE BOT products, but was VERY disappointed with this product. :( Unfortunately, they were WAY too short. The velcro was GREAT, nice and sticky and I liked the design, but they started wearing away on the bottom after the first ride! For the price, I wouldn't expect them to be coming apart so quickly. I have only had them a few weeks and the bottoms are coming apart. I love BOT products, but this one needs some work. It's too bad this one was a waste at this price. :( March 27, 2012
Great Brand Bad Fit I love Back on Track products and really do feel they work- so I do strongly encourage people to try their products- well worth the money. That being said- I bought these exercise boots for a 17h horse who suffered a bowed tendon. The length/height of the boot runs extremely short- even the large does not cover where I would want and looks like I put pony sized exercise boots on my horse. Once again, I think BOT has great products in general but I will stick with the BOT polo wraps (highly recommend) and the quick wraps. And thanks to Smartpak who is so wonderful with returns!!! To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
