Ariat Heritage Select Field Boot 4.1 5 22 23
Good Price but Poor Fit I bought these boots about a year and a half ago and a month later the color was starting to wear off on the inside leg. These boot are definately made for people who don't have skinny legs...they were so big at the ankles. I'm fairly skinny and they definately didn't fit at all. They also took a while to break in. I love Ariats but I was not a fan of these boots. March 4, 2013
Overall Ok I bought these when I first started showing and they were and still are my babies. I aboslutely love the quality of these boots!!! However, once they started to stretch out the zipper started to unzip so eventually a was sick and tired of the zipper constantly coming undone as I rode. I was so embarassed when I went to a Michael Page clinc and I couldnt properly put my leg around the horse. I do know Ariat has some issues with their zippers. Now I am in the market for some new boots. I was tempted to try Tredstep but after buying their halfchaps... I just couldnt give up the quality of the leather on my Ariats so I bought the Ariat Challenge I with no zipper on special order at The Tack Room Online for 150 and I wont have to sacrafice the quality or my leg position. Perfect for schooling I really love wearing these boots. They don't come up high enough for me because I'm 5'5 and I wear a 6, but no stock boots do, unfortunately. I bought these in a tall/slim 6 and they are just so comfortable! I wear them almost all day everyday and I have for about a year now. The leather is just perfect. They have become very grippy but not thin on the insides from daily use and the tread keeps my feet in perfect position in my cheese grater irons. Yes, they are pretty ugly and I wouldn't wear them for shows, and they lose their shine quickly. Besides that, they have been perfect. I have never had a problem with the zippers or snaps, and I am very rough on them. I love them. November 13, 2012
Great Boots These Ariat field boots are comfortable and nice looking. I love Ariat's 4LR footbed. Bought these to replace Dublin Aristocrat because they are becoming scarce and I needed a short height size. Only gave 4 stars because of past problems with Ariat zippers and snaps breaking and haven't worn these much yet. November 8, 2012
Beautiful Boots Nice looking field boots for shows and everyday riding. Love Ariat's 4LR footbed. The short height is just right (for someone 5'1"). October 17, 2012
Good Boots These are my first pair of tall boots and I really like them. I was unsure because some of the other reviewers weren't so savvy about the boots, but if you are going to need a good pair of tall boots, or if you need your first pair of tall boots, I'd recommended these. I needed a medium/slim because I don't have any calves, and I was worried that the mediums would be too tall because I measured and it said short, but they didn't have short/slim, but the mediums were just fine. I will say that the heals and the shoe size are a bit large. I normally wear a 6 1/2 in ariats paddock boots, so that's what I got, and I probably should have gotten a 6. They're not so big that it's annoying, but I could have gone a size down. I also have very skinny narrow feet, so I think if you have wider thicker feet, you'll probably be fine with your normal size. I gave these a four in durability because I've had them less than a month, but overall I really like these boots, and they broke in rather quickly which is nice if you need new boots in a hurry. To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
