Antares Figure 8 Bridle 4.6 5 7 8
I love this bridle! Antares makes great-quality products that are more supple than stiff when you take them out of the box. The bridle has plenty of holes, allowing you to adjust it to fit your horse perfectly. It is luxuriously padded and I love the mono-crown feature. It has proven durable and it is a lovely bridle overall. Aside from being very pricey, the only downside to this bridle is that it does not darken easily. While it became soft and supple very quickly, the bridle remains a dark orange-y color. When I soaked the bridle in a plastic bag with Hydrophane darkening oil, it appeared to be much darker, but within a few weeks its original orange color reappeared. I've used darkening oil and the Antares oil, but it just won't get darker. I love the bridle and its color does not affect its performance nor is the color ugly, but for my own personal preferences I wish it would get darker. June 27, 2012
Beautiful craftsmanship I love this bridle. It is soft and supple with excellent craftsmanship. Attention to detail which is common with all Antares products. Makes my boy look like a million bucks! I rated value 4 stars only because it's so pricey (But worth it). March 19, 2012
Too Much of Everything Too much stitching and WAY too many buckles. I bought this bridle for the figure 8 nose band, rubber reins and quality. I got all those but I didn't realize that it would be overloaded with buckles. They are everywhere. So much so that it takes away from the horses face. When you add in the fancy stitching, all you see is bridle. The photo of this bridle is deceptive. The buckles you see in the photo and think are only on one side, are not. They are on both sides. I am going to oil it and hopefully it will tone down the color. This bridle runs large. I have a Warmblood that has always worn a standard size bridle. I have every buckle as high as it will go. You can't punch any more holes because of how it is all one piece. However, the quality is excellent. I would not recommend this bridle and I would not buy it again. February 6, 2012
Love it !! Soft, beautiful, stylish.... yup that sums it up. Love all there products ! February 28, 2011
Best Figure 8 Out There! This is an amazing buy! Sure, it's more than your average figure 8 bridle would cost, but it's TOTALLY worth it! This is the only Figure 8 I will ever use and I will always rely on Antares for top quality products! July 31, 2010
Best Bridle on the Market The Antares Figure 8 Bridle is the best bridle on the market. The calf skin padding on the crown, browband, and noseband is very comfortable for the horse and is comparable to the quality of calfskin found on my Hermes saddle. The rest of the leather is excellent quality and doesn't require any breaking in and does not stretch which many of the competitors do. All of the buckles lay to the outside so it is very comfortable for the horse. Hands down the best bridle I've owned. March 8, 2010
