Amigo Stable Sheet
Ripped first weekend
I put this sheet on and was very excited the size 78 fit my 16 hand tb great and loved the loook but after one weekend he ripped the fron open and he is not a rough horse.

My horse is a 75 but I was told to order a 78 because the cotton would shrink when washed. It did shrink, but not enough to fit a 75 horse. Also, the neck hole is so large that the sheet slips back and catches under his shoulder blade. I would only recommend for a very stocky horse. Does not fit like other Amigo products.

Not for bigger-built horses
My mare is a big-bodied 16.2 TB (32" short dressage girth, about 1100 lbs, WB build and not particularly high-withered) and this sheet is way too tight on her in the shoulders. I also had a Rambo stable sheet to compare, and I felt the Rambo was higher quality (material, hardware) and had a better fit as well, although frankly both the Amigo/Rambo stable sheets in general seem to be much more snug in the shoulders than their turnouts. I can, however, say that the Amigo did not shrink after washing in cold water and air drying (I measured, and it was still exactly the same length). I am still trying to figure out what stable sheet would work best for my horse, but I would say that if you are determined to get the Amigo for a larger horse, definitely do not follow the Rambo website instructions of subtracting 7" from your horse's chest-to-tail measurement for a stable sheet (versus subtracting 4" for a turnout)...get at least the same size you would get for a turnout.

The best part is the double front closure which makes the sheet secure and closed up snug in front. Secondly, my horse has narrow shoulders and most other brands fall off. This fits so well that I use one as a sheet, and have another one size bigger for layering, as I have a wool blanket as a base without straps, then I put this over it. Holds up very well!
On cold nights when horses may not drink as much, I make a mix of half gallon warm water, AccuLytes for salt and flavor, a handful of something tasty (like grain to dissolve in water) let sit for 2 minutes and serve. They love it and I feel better he's had a good warm drink on a cold night!

Great Quality, But Shrinkage!
This sheet is a great quality cotton stable sheet and I really appreciate the durability of the hardware and the nylon-lined shoulders. However, while this sheet fit as per measurement when first worn, after one wash by the professional horse laundry, it shrunk enough that it's now snug on my gelding. If you are in between sizes I would order one size UP. Also, it's too bad they stop at 84, as they run a bit small and now I know my gelding just can't wear these, as he's too big. They are gorgeous, high quality sheets, though, easy to wash and perfect weight for summer evenings in a stall to keep a grey clean, or at shows.

wish it fit!
nice product! unfortunately it ran small to begin with, and after one washing it no longer fits at all! Seems to be designed for the narrower horses, too snug on a warmblood.
