HYPP must have This product is very expensive at some pharmacies, and Smart Pak has been great at working with me to minimize costs and not interrupt service. May 6, 2011
Good value I learned a few months ago that my new Quarter Horse is HYPP positive. He started episoding after eating timothy hay. The Acetazolamide tablets seem to keep the episodes at bay. I can adjust the dose depending upon how much access he has to hay he shouldn't be eating. My order arrived very quickly, which has always been my experience with SmartPak. It's much easier to get the large quantity of these pills that my horse needs from you than it is to get them from local pharmacies. March 29, 2011
Superb Formulation of Acetazolamide Rx Our HYPP filly eats the prescription powder, at the dose tailored to her by the DVM, readily. The consistent and specific dosing, separation of this drug from other supplements before feeding (i.e., not combined in a baggie for hours or days), and minimal potential for human error (no pills to count and grind-up, no jar of powder to measure--or spill or forget) are convenience and safety factors which outweigh that, of course, there are cheaper ways to get and give this prescription med if owner or barn-staff can consistently & correctly do the dosing. Thank you for offering this Rx product. February 23, 2011
HYPP Preventive I have been using acetazolamide for many years to help my HYPP horse avoid episodes. It is a diarrhetic and you must make sure your horse/animal has good access to clean water. It isn't the only solution, you MUST also have Karo syrup available. She's 15 now and doing as best as possible. May 14, 2009

To Clip or Not to Clip I've heard that body clipping in the spring is "too late" because you're clipping over the newly growing in coat... What do you think? What's the best body clipping schedule? - Jessica N., Charlotte, VT
