Product Description:
Help your horse beat the heat with Summer Games! Originally created for horses competing at the Olympic Games, this electrolyte formulation is a combination of minerals similar to the levels typically lost in a horse's sweat. Summer Games is a concentrated electrolyte supplement that supports normal hydration, contains minimal sugar, yet is palatable and easy to feed!
Summer Games is a dietary electrolyte and trace mineral supplement for performance horses. When performance horses sweat, they lose a significant amount of essential electrolytes, including sodium, chloride, potassium and to a lesser degree, magnesium. Summer Games is formulated to replace these key electrolytes that are lost in sweat during exercise in hot, humid environments.
Instructions:
Feeding Directions: Mix Summer Games with the daily grain ration. All horses should always have free access to a salt block or loose salt and fresh, clean water.
The amount of electrolyte supplementation will depend on how much the performance horse sweats. Typically, a normal maintenance intake for horses at rest in hot environments or those horses being transported in hot weather is 1 ounce per day. Horses at moderate work levels should receive 2 to 3 ounces, and those in heavy training require 3 to 4 ounces per day. It is recommended that daily doses of 3 to 4 ounces per day be divided into separate feedings.
The following Guaranteed Analysis is for 2 ounces:
Ingredients:
Salt, potassium chloride, dicalcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, dextrose, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, manganese proteinate, natural and artificial flavors added, and Yellow FD&C #6 Aluminum Lake.
