Product Description:
A premium supplement for pregnant & lactating mares, and weanling & yearling foals, containing vitamins, specific amino acid complexes trace minerals, and yeast culture, designed to be added to the grain ration to help insure optimum and properly balanced vitamin and trace mineral nutrition for the foals special needs from fetus through yearling.
Instructions:
Apply to horses daily grain ration (with 2 oz. of corn oil for best results) and mix thoroughly, using the following basic guidelines. Administer the higher recommended administration levels (as listed below), during periods of reduced feed intake, adaptation to diets, to horses on poorly fortified diets, or to nutritionally support horses for optimum performance. Divide supplemented amounts equally by number of feedings per day. NOTE: The acclimation period varies for each individual horse. Pregnant, lactating and brood mares, and horses in poor condition: 2-4 ounces daily. Yearlings: 2-3 ounces daily. Weanlings: 1-2 ounces daily. NOTE: Because of Vita-Key's high vitamin and mineral content, the smell and taste may be offensive to some animals. In this case mix with 2 ounces corn oil.
Precautions:
Store in a cool, dry and clean place, in shaded area. Do not feed wet, moldy, or insect-infested feed. Vita-Key Mare and Foal Supplement is only part of a well balanced diet and should be fed with a properly balanced ration (Proteins, Fat, Fiber, Minerals, quantity consumed, etc.). Vita-Key Mare and Foal Supplement is a nutritional feed additive. It contains no drugs or hormones and does not replace antibiotics. No withdrawal. Vitamins degrade over time and with exposure to air, sunlight, temperature, and moisture. Use this product as directed by your veterinarian, and in a timely manner.
